From the East:
It’s a little bittersweet as I write my final monthly letter, as Worshipful Master, to the Brethren of Ralph J. Pollard Lodge. It’s hard for me to believe that a year has passed since I was installed as Master of the best lodge in the District, if not in Maine. We had a great year and according to my records we held all of our required stated meetings, Initiated seven Brothers to an Entered Apprentice, Passed eight to the degree of a Fellow Craft and Raised eight to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. All of this was completed in only six months as we performed no work from June 6 through November 14. I want to thank all of the officers and others who helped during all of the degree work that was completed throughout the year. Not only did we do all of the above work, we currently have the following in waiting for degree work. We have four Entered Apprentices, two Fellow Crafts, and three Master Mason Degrees left to do.
As I look ahead to next year, I won’t be going anywhere as I have been asked to move to the left and sit at the Secretary’s chair for 2014. I am looking forward to the upcoming leadership of Ralph J. Pollard as, if all goes well, Brother Adam Vachon will be installed as Worshipful Master on December 15, 2013. Things look good for the next several years with our leadership in the waiting and I look forward to seeing the stellar degree work in the upcoming years ahead.
So, again, I want to thank all of the officers of our lodge and thank everyone who helped me along the way to and through the East. It has been a great ride.
